The Secret Footballer is the pseudonym of an alleged Premier League footballer who contributes articles to ''The Guardian'' newspaper and has written two books, ''I Am The Secret Footballer'' and ''Tales From The Secret Footballer''. There is no independent evidence supporting the author's claims to have played professional football. A blog exists that attempts to piece together "clues" from various columns in an attempt to uncover the footballer's identity.
